I'm very impressed. If you have the ability to snap a pic of the materials you used, i.e. type and manufacturer, those of us who may be following in your footsteps will have an easier go of it. Well done young man!

I got the helmet second hand from a fellow squad member and was told it is a SC bucket.

I had intended to use magnets to keep the lid closed, but due to the helmet and visor not lining up just right and no luck with using heat, I switched to small velcro tabs that keep everything in place nicely when closed.

I have an accurate set of mounting hardware that came with it. That will be installed this evening.

The lense and decal set are from Trooperbay.

And the snout is from DV here on the boards. His really are top notch and I got one from his new mold. So crisp.

More pics this weekend. Thanks for the comments.

I have seen both, with pouches flaccid (heh, flaccid) and with items inside them to give them shape. I have also seen them with such a crisp shape that the corners may cause damage to the unaware passerby! Lol

And to my knowledge, there is no inspection of the contents of the pouches. Although, that being said, convention security may ask to see inside if they reasonably believe it could conceal a contraband item.

Many scouts use a hollow former to give them shape and keep them usable ad pouches for keys and wallet and whatnot. Also, the pouch is a common place to the speaker for a voice amp.
