Mnt33r Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 I'm having a hard time finding base boots (size 14)--think these would work for Lancer? http://www.ebay.com/...=item338463cbc9 Thanks, Dave Quote
stasz Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 I don't think the sole will fly on those, being two-toned. The stitching would probably be sufficiently covered by the trim. Shame though. The soles do look like they'd lend themselves to the cut outs well. From the CRL: "For level two certification (if applicable): The boots have slots cut into the heels as seen on film. The boot sole is a single color with no visible stitching." Quote
stasz Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 And a bit more in depth for Lancer Specs: http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=12081&pid=104951&st=0entry104951 1 Quote
Darth Voorhees Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 you CAN paint the sole all one color if need be. But it is best to get a 1 color sole. Quote
4505Marcel Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Loads of decent base boots on EBay UK dude Quote
4505Marcel Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 There about the only thing I've never imported for my costumes everything else I buy is from elsewhere in the world lol Quote
Mnt33r Posted March 18, 2015 Author Posted March 18, 2015 I checked out both the UK and US Ebays--I need a US 14E which is apparently tough to come by in a solid-colored sole. The search continues.... Quote
Mnt33r Posted March 18, 2015 Author Posted March 18, 2015 Well, a fortuitous trip to the attic revealed some old Air Force boots I stashed away (and forgot about). Think they could work? They have vibram soles--are those easy to carve out? Quote
