marktoots
Had a feeling that was the case but I wanted to clarify as it was being debated over a beer last night! Anyway, there has been a little more progress today.
4505Marcel
Rifle is coming along nicely, I think the muzzle break needs work though mate, assuming that's your finished product?
marktoots
Thanks mate. LOL. No the muzzel break still needs finishing Need to do some filling before I can finish it
marktoots
Not posted for a while but this project has progressed. A bit more filling and detailing then it will be ready for painting
NegativeEleven
I think I had that same airsoft scope on mine for a while. I found one at a military surplus store that had been naturally weathered (black scratched off the surface) to replace it with. I like the look of the bigger one though. That's a great looking barrel. Is it much heavier than the wood body? I bought a real MG42 flash hider, but decided against replacing my handmade one because of the weight. My barrel is styrene shroud with pvc down the middle. A steel flash hider would add a lot of weight to that.
marktoots
Without the bipod it's fairly well balanced but once I add the steel bipod it becomes very barrel heavy. I'm thinking about counterbalancing it with some additional weight in the stock!
marktoots
Well this is proving to be a long build as I keep losing interest for a bit then getting excited about it again! But I have made some good progress in the last couple of weeks and here are the results: (I ran out of matt black spray paint which is why its two tone!) Oh, and I am calling her "The Beast" Do you think it'll be going too far to paint ewok heads on the side with red crosses through them!?! NegativeEleven
I have been losing interest and going back to my E11 build for close to 4 years now, so you'll get no judgement from me. Looking good so far.
marktoots
Not the best photos in the world (I'll try and get some better ones in daylight!) but "The Beast" is done.

NegativeEleven
You gotta put a strap on it. I know carrying mine gets old real fast. Oh, and be careful not to rub that black paint on your chest armor.
