Hello folks.

I've heard of a lot of scouts securing their blaster pistols into the boot holster using a strap. Does anyone have any reference pics or guidance on this? I want to make sure it will stay in the holster when I'm not using it. Thanks in advance.

I have a holster strap on both sets of my boots. Its not "approved" but i paid alot of money for my blasters & I donn't want some kid to sneak up behind me & steal my gun. So I prefer this lil added security. All I did was go to Walmart & buy a pack of double sided velcro wire ties.(found in the sewing section) They are used to secure large buches of wires from a tv, blu ray, surround sound ect. Came in a pack of 5 for like $2. All I did was apply a dab of 5min epoxy(any glue will work) & pressed the velcro onto the dab of glue. The velcro wraps around the blaster handle. Hardly noticeable unless your looking just for that.

Since the strap isnt canon, a lot of troopers use rare earth magnets instead. Does a good job of holding the blaster in place -- but as Chunk mentioned, it's not going to stop a kid from trying to steal the blaster. And they DO try. Often. I rarely ever troop with my blaster or my TD. Tired of the little bastards trying to swipe them.

Awesome! Thanks for the pic and ideas. I think I'll go with the strap. Those blasters aren't cheap and it seems like the most secure.

I just put a tiny strip of Velcro between the outside of the trigger guard and the inside of the holster where it touches. It keeps it secure and is not noticeable.

A good back-hand usually sees them off!

This is why you need good spotters :)

They're like Ewoks -- we get overrun sometimes!

The Legion Charter specifically states we mustn't punch children. At least, not when anyone's looking.

I actually just have some white craft foam hot glued in. That way, my blaster kinda wedges itself into place. To remove it, I've gotta give it a good tug, so I can also feel if any rugrats are trying to mess around.
