Here's a tip for hard armor.....

Hey guys here's a clue or I mean tip rather, when you use zap gap with zap kicker it fuses or welds the body armor together permanently. It works great for the belt and for the backpack armor. I hope this helps you guys building armor. I got this tip from one of the storm troopers building his armor. Hers a couple of pics.

Yea Mike from trooper bay over does it with the zip kicker lol. NO need to spray as much as he does there.

 

Also using the kicker thins the zap a gap...so it gets really runny really fast, so you need to be aware of that especially if your working on the outside of your armor. When your gluing on the inside its obviously not as much of a concern.

 

The kicker also inhibits the bond strength. BUT i have used zap a gap a lot for armor and Ive been happy with it.

Only time I use zap a gap is when it's going to be covered or painted. It has a tendency to turn yellow. Otherwise I just use E6000. New thing for E6000, it is now offered in black or white.

That's good to know. I didn't know it comes in white now. I have black and clear E6000, but I'll have to pick up some white for any future Scout repairs/maintenance.

You heard the term a little dab will do ya, that's how I use the zap gap, works like a charm!

I thought it always came in white black and clear? since 2012 i've been buying e6000 in white.

Zapagap also works great if you need to get snaps glued to armor pieces and you're out of shims.

 

Just make sure you wash it off your fingers quickly or it's a pain to remove, and yes, that is from personal experience.
