Guest iEastwood
Hey guys! Well i have been lurking around the forum looking at different posts trying to figure out where to start. If you guys could helpm point me in the right direction to start out i would appreciate it. Definitely seems like a daunting task but it is something i have been looking at doing for a long time. (Definitely cant just buy one!) Thanks again, looking forward to starting my build.
Chef
Welcome. All depends on what direction you wish to go in! Are you looking to just buy parts off the shelf, or are you willing to put some effort in and make stuff yourself? This does tend to vary the information you are passed. But feel free to look around, it's not as massive a task as it may seem.
Dart
To echo Rob's words, it's not as big a task. Just think of it as a nice, juicy 72 oz steak. Now, you can't eat it all at once, but if you just nibble away at it, it'll eventually be gone.
TreeDodger72
I recently started my build, too. I began with ordering a Redkap coverall and making the modifications to that. Most of them were really easy, I did send it to a seamstress to sew on the riding patch as my skills with a sewing machine are not that great! I should have that back on Friday! In the meantime, I went ahead and ordered an SC bucket and got that put together, just putting finishing touches on that now. These were good "ease me in" kind of projects before I start trying to tackle some of the other stuff. Good luck with your build and I am happy to share with you what I have been doing if it helps! Chex
Also, join your local garrison's message boards. There should be some locals who can help guide you through the process as well. Plenty of information on the boards for you, and you always have everyone to help answer questions as well.
