I'm looking at both the CB and the KS helmets. I've heard sketchy things about KS pulls lately.

I'm ok with the price of either as long as the quality is good.

I figured I'd ask here since you guys have the most experience looking at these things.

I'm looking for pros vs cons for each helmet.

I have a KS. I bought it off another member, but I had to take it apart and redo everything. It took me forever to get everything lined up properly. I love how it looks, but even though they say it is one of the bigger helmets, it does seem to have a tight fit. CB looks awesome and is a bit bigger. Also it has that real "helmet" feel to it. Use the search button to find side by side comparisons. I think Batninja and Chunk posted some.

I see from the profile pic that you wear glasses. I would say a CB for you to make sure you have enough room. Just my opinion.

I might upgrade to a CB in the future. I have a SC and it is way to small for my head... And I wear glasses also.

and the thread title is proof you should never start a topic at 1am from your cell phone. CB vs KS... my bad.

I've got a KS. I've done well by it over the last 4 1/2 years. I'd love to eventually upgrade to a LW or RS, but I think I might try to troop with my efx when it comes in (assuming it fits, ha!)

You're best off to get a KS kit since the assembly can be a bit hit or miss, and there's no good reason to pay extra money just for that.

I have both a KS & CB. I love them equally. When I wear the KS I think man this is nice & can't any better. Then I put on the CB & am in love. I have heard of the bad pulls from KS, but can't confirm so don't want to give it a bad rep. Here's a pic of all my helmets. From left to right. DP, KS & CB. If your looking for the largest helmet out there I would say the CB is probably it.

Thanks Chunk!

I'm 6 foot and 245 lbs. I "think" i'll need a bigger helmet to balance the look of my kit.

I could be totally wrong though. KS has rad customer service. They were replying to my email on a Sunday so that won my business. Then Christian's passion for prop making also sold me. So, I'll have fun and build them both and try and talk the wife into adding a TB to her Legion costumes.
