No-one ever seems to mention the Altmann's bucket......

 

Probably because they're so hard to come by? I got my Altmann's just a couple months ago and I think it's fantastic. Modifying it now to accept the hard hat liner system & flat bolts. Should be done today! <wootwoot>

I asked the same question when I stumbled upon the NI during my helmet hunt. The general consensus is that lacks in the accuracy department, and a much nicer lid can be had for the same amount of loot.

One of the things that really put me off the NI is the janky indents on the back of the helmet, and the way the visor joins the face plate in the lower "cheek" area looks weird to me.

Go into the helmet forum and search "NI helmet" - use the quotation marks. You'll get some good threads discussing the NI.

Ok, next question. in regards to assembly of SC helmet; When connecting the back of the helmet to the top, is the seam a problem? i haven't seen many pics from the top. was wondering if it should be filled and painted. anyone got pics?

I would pay the extra few houndred to get sc to assemble my helmet next time. It was alot of work haha
