Adhesives etc.

Hello guys. I am in the process of gathering all of the stuff to assemble my armor and was wondering what all adhesives and other consumables you used throughout your builds. Thanks

 

Edit: specifically for abs to abs and abs to velcro etc.

To be honest there isn't much in the way of abs to abs . Epoxy I used for the tank topper and T bits on the biceps. And E6000 ( goop) for the boots. E6000 would hold Velcro to abs, I just used the industrial self adhesive Velcro for my straps so I didn't use glue, mines still holding and it's maybe 6 years old

 

Abs weld us good for abs, but wasn't used on my builds

Yeah there's not much gluing on this costume, other then what Marcel said, unless you want to reinforce things.

Agreed! I use E-6000 for most things and Gorilla Glue for anything "permanent".

Ok thanks, I'll look into this e6000 stuff. Already have gorilla glue so I got that going for me

I used E6000 to glue all the helmet pieces ( SC kit) and for the tank and detenator trim. To do the straps I got the industrial strength Velcro for the armor side. Stuff is on pretty tight. Rest got sewn on.

I assume 3M for the velcro?

I used the Velcro brand industrial stuff, it has a much tougher Graf, and the adhesive backing is super strong

I used some 3M indoor/outdoor double-sided foam tape to put my KS helmet together. Sticks like crazy but much easier to work with than glue.
