Stripes on boot holster

I wonder if any fellow scouts could tell me if there are any stripes on the boot holster?

 

I had just taken over one of our fellow scout LW bucket and my SC armor that I had ordered. And included in the kit , you can find them.

And from some of the screen shots, you can see them clearly.

 

Can someone enlighten me. Thanks.

The "stripes" are more than likely just weathering that was added. They weren't meant to be clearly defined lines and we don't have any evidence that any markings there were intentional, like the tank stripes.

I've heard that those were actually small slits cut into the holster, which makes it look like stripes. But yes, no stripes please.

That would make sense. They look like someone took a fine pen to them, but that's probably a dirty cut edge.

I think that is evident by several of the new references such as the blu ray close ups.
