B-Hizzle
After eight years of trooping with no major maintenance needed, my lens cracked sometime during DragonCon this year. Not really sure how it happened. I just noticed it during the parade. Can someone point me to where I can get replacement lenses? If I can get them from a hardware store like Lowes or a craft store, that would be preferable. Thanks!
Chunk
Go to a welding supply store & get shade 5 dark green. About $15, it already has the curve of the helmet. Just cut to shape & glue/velcro in place. Its green but your eyes will adjust quickly & you'll see every color. From the outside it will look black. These are my helmets. Looking at the computer the helmet on the right has the welders shield for a lense.
Guest Thatperformer387performer3
B-Hizzle, I found a few great replacement lenses and helmet cushioning on ebay, though it might have already been sold Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
NegativeEleven
Check an army/navy surplus store. I found a fighter pilot helmet lens for $3.
