Add some to the top straps and take some from the bottom. You look to be broad chested so that can be an issue im sure but id hate to see you send in approval pics and the say the sides of your armor need to come in more.

------ more progress------

Added some to the top straps as suggested. Much better IMO! Thanks Bubonos!

Got a redcap today also. Haven't started taking it apart yet. Will be working on that this week. Pouches are 80% done just need to see attachment flaps onto them. Boots are 30% done but I'm making good progress and happy going slow to get it right.

Got my boots almost done! Installed a support strap with snaps at the top. Unused nylon to start with but I think I'm gonna i elastic to keep it more secure. That's the beauty of using snaps to secure! Still left is the dremmel to the soles (ugh).

I used an exacto with various blades on my soles.

The dremel just sort of melted the rubber. Made quite a stink ;)

Really loving this idea, as I've been concerned the vinyl will rip eventually because of the weight of the pistol in the holster.

It's working "ok". I think I'm going to sew 1" elastic straps instead of the nylon to get more purchase on the calves. The beuty of using the snap method is I can swap it out and try different things easily.

Happy day! CB helmet and softparts are here. Helmet is gorgeous. Hopefully I get it painted up this weekend. If I do I'm ready to submit next week!

Looking good. After trooping since may, I finally added a chin strap more for when I flip my face mask up. The weight distribution is off and the bucket slides down over my face which defeats trying to see or breathe. Cons and parades I flip it up alot. Smaller troops I usually only flip it to show a scared kid I'm not really all that scary

Great Job on the helmet Chris!!!

The only thing, the black decals bars looks a little curved to up. Usually happen. I must try 2-3 times until give it the correct position. You can remove the last 7 bars one to one, and give it the correct line position.

yup, I had to do it twice before I got it to look acceptable...that bar code is a PITA

Ok, here is my first full suit up!

List of things I need to do, but I think these are mostly Lancer requirements.

1. Bund boxes need to be re-done.

2. Cod piece needs to be redone

3. Soles of boots need to be cut into correct pattern

4. Snout greeblie might have to be replaced.

5. Re-align bars on back of bucket

6. Move in boxes closer together.

BOOM-SHACKALACKA!

I think your your doing a great job but I believe your arm armor should be a bit higher on your forearm and bicep areas.

Thanks Joe! Will do.

I agree. I just have really long arms and I had a hard time figuring out where the right spot was.

Thanks for this detailed WIP. I think I'm committed to making a TB my next costume and it's great to follow another Vader into the forest. :)

Awesome! Great work, man.

I've been kicking around the idea of going with a CB lid instead of the KS I was originally planning on.

How do you like yours? It looks top notch!

I love it! Christian does nice work. I'm a Vader sized fellow (6'3" in bare feet) and I think the proportions came out fantastic. It's built beautifully and I had the most minimal of prep, work to,do before I painted it up. Christian sends it sanded, filled and primered. All I did was sand a couple of rough spots and work out a couple pin holes. Paint laid up great. Christian gave me excellent advice on how best to tackle it and I'm very glad I did it myself. My only criticism is that the snout aerator greeblie is a bit rough and not as detailed as it could be and I'm being picky at that. Construction is a light fiberglass. It really doesn't weigh much at all.

If you do order a CB be prepared for a brutal shipping experience. Getting stuff from Bolivia is tricky. The air freight company sent my order back once and it had to be resent before it showed up in U.S. customs. Christian was very good about communication though and the poor guy had to head over to his post office probably a dozen times trying to figure out what was going on. Eventually he got it all sorted and we had a nice celebration when the package showed on US soil.

Someone has a he great size comparison and I believe the KS was a smaller bucket. If you're a big guy you want the CB for sure.

Thanks for the heads up!

I was wondering how tall you were to get a sense of scale with the CB.

I figured it was up there since you're also the Dark Lord of the Sith :)

Looking good brother. May need to slide those arm pads up some
