Guest D4v3G Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Hello! Well yesterday It was an early x-mas lol got both my armor and my deluxe helmet kit from "SC" beautiful now let's do this is what I said lol! Here's a pic of what I started! I need to cut more I believe down by the lower tear area am I correct? I followed the inside guideline so far! Down by that part I believe I need to trim better the line was gone so I gotta wing it before that I wanted to post a pic!
Chex Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Yes. There are some good reference pics in our gallery on here to look at. Compare, then go slow, take your time, and get it to where you're good with look.
Dart Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 So far, so good. If you're unsure where the line to cut is, cut less and use a larger round file or sandpaper to get the edge down to where it should be.
Guest D4v3G Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Cool thanks!! In the pic posted I trimmed a lil more of the eyes...it looks good with the lense in place. Here is a pic of all the gear so far I'm waiting on the end caps to the thermal detonator to dry so I can continue with that portion of the build. I will post more pics here as I go! Thanks again!
Guest TKAQUA1969 Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 HI! I just received my SC deluxe armor (armor and helmet) LAST NIGHT and I'm SO excited. But I've got a REALLY simple and perhaps stupid question ………READY?……..what did you use to cut out the eye area? A UTILITY KNIFE? I'm just curious as to what you all recommend using to cut out that area. (Is a utility knife the suggested implement to make cuts in general?) Thanks!

Hi Rachel, Yes, you can use a utility knife, but be careful. Mark out where you want the final edge to be. Use that to cut the bigger piece out but don't use it for the final edge. You can get a small hacksaw blade and use that to trim a bit more off and then finish it off with a file and sandpaper.
01Hawk Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 I drilled a ton of little holes around the line and then used a dremel. Finished it off by hand sanding it/using a file.
