star-trooper Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Hi What sort of glue do you use to attach the parts together? Is it E6000 glue? Thanks. Quote
Darth Chridan Posted October 12, 2014 Author Posted October 12, 2014 Hi What sort of glue do you use to attach the parts together? Is it E6000 glue? Thanks. Ola... no, I didn't used the E-6000 glue. I've used a 2 component adhesive for the stripes in the inside of the helmet...and outside for the gap I've used the 'Loctite' glue...a liquid glue...with a special powder which will be hard in combination with the loctite glue. After the reaction you can this easily sand it. After the sanding you need to fill the surface with normal car-fill putty...and again sand the surface....that's it This is the liquid glue--->> https://www.klebstof...kleber-401.html ...but I don't know the name of the powder...it is packed up in boxes, we move in our new house I hope it helps nevertheless. Cheers.... Quote
Southscout Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Hey, I'm also one of the lucky ones who has one of these kits :-) After some initial good progress I have however run into some fear of failure (and we all know what fear leads to, darkness etc). So, I have a small question. The part on the visor which surrounds the bolt, how thick did you make that? Here's where I am now, but I'm not sure on how much more I should trim it. All help appreciated :-) Skickat från min LG-D802 via Tapatalk Quote
