Landeaux
I thought I would challenge myself by attempting something I haven't done before, that is a scratchbuild project. So I chose the scout sniper rifle. Here is what I accomplished. There is a few cosmetic touches to be finished
4505Marcel
Not bad at all mate, I would say drill out the muzzel and add sone lenses to the scope and you've got yourself a sweet sniper. Well done

Guest Dazzla1979
Nice job mate, what materials did you use as the main construction, love scratch building myself, just don't know where to start sometimes! But that is superb and some good inspiration too! Well done
Landeaux
Thanks for the compliments. The materials I used were wood for the receiver and stock, pvc pipe for the barrels
NegativeEleven
I like that barrel. If I decide to go back and revisit the sniper (after deciding mine is gonna just be for my merc), that's the way I want my barrel to look. I might do a smaller flash hider though, and I know the reference material is a video game, but I like a more rounded stock. It'll feel better when you actually try to push it to your shoulder. Can you get your face close enough to "look" thru the scope? Where'd you get the bipod? Does it fold up?
Landeaux
This is the bipod I bought, it does fold up and the legs can be extended. http://www.opticsplanet.com/ncstar-compact-stream-line-black-bipod-w-weaver-style-mount.html
Landeaux
Finally finished my rifle. I reworked the stock, drilled out the flash hider and touched up the scope.

NegativeEleven
Good job. I'd still round the stock a little or it's gonna be uncomfortable.
Chunk
Can't wait to see a pic of you in costume with this in your hands. Here's a pic of me with a Hyperfirm DLT-19(Don't mean to hyjack, just wanna share)
Landeaux
No problem, I like your picures. This is the only one I have of me with it while in costume. We did a troop at a film festival and I used it in our prop building panel.
HyperT
Looks cool. Thanks for posting the pics. I love seeing any process pics. And I'm sure the people at the panel were thankful for the help.
