01Hawk Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Does anyone have a pair that they can post a pic of the sole color? Like a well lit pic the closely shows the color. I have the screen caps but honestly think they look light than the average work boot sole. I can't find a pair of US boots that I can try on in a store that are close. My Target doesn't have boots. The Walmart ones ( which I hate shopping at ) don't look like good match soles. Payless has 2 styles - one is too dark I think and the other which is closer are steel toe. Thoughts or input would be appreciated. Hate ordering shoes online cause the sizes vary from make to make 1
Chex Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Check the gallery here. http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?app=gallery&album=138
jyjellyfish77 Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 You can also try looking at some other type stores that you may pay a little more money at. Army/Navy stores or work clothing stores. Good luck.
01Hawk Posted August 25, 2014 Author Posted August 25, 2014 Thanks! I just wanted to make sure I got the soles as close as possible. I would rather spend the $ on something relatively comfortable. Hope to get a pair this week and get started.
miqt Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Weird that the original boots in the gallery pics are not exactly the same as the screen boots. The vertical channels on the heel are not divided into two..its just one channel. Anyone have pics of an unmodified screen boot that does have the screen seen heel details?
TB-7076 Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 That is the only detail missing. Those are probably of later production and streamlined. I have the same boots just in woodland camo and green sole but all the other details except that divider are tje same as in the movie piece. A minor detail that can be changed with rubber glued and a repaint as the amber tones are a bot different too. That rzbber can be painted I was told by a shoemaker.
Chunk Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Cheap (.88) acrylic paint from Walmart will turn any sole into the proper shade. You can find it in their arts & craft section. Last time I looked must have been about 10 shades of brown. I painted my soles & it flexes with walking & has not flaked off.
