hammerhead
So i dyed my BDUs and got two different colors. Everything was dyed all at once. pants: shirt: together: Now my question is which color is better? Do i try to dye the pants darker or get a new shirt and try again? I see now they are a different weave and maybe a different fabric composition too. Any help is appreciated.
bselphfsu282
Looks like you got 2 different kinds of soft parts, the regular cotton and then the weather resistant kind. The regular cotton, shown with the lighter more brown color, looks a little more correct. I don't believe with all the dye in the world that you will be able to match the two due to the different kinds of fabric. I would grab a shirt or pants to match the other and then try to dye it. Chex
Yep..summer weight BDUs have the squarish pattern, while winter weight is thicker and is more solid looking.
hammerhead
OK so I'm a little confused. The pants/ lighter color is the cotton/summer? And the darker/shirt is the winter/weatherproof? bselphfsu282
I can't recall summer or winter but the dark one with the lines is the weather proof one. Go for the other.
hammerhead
I ordered another shirt yesterday. My first screw up was getting a new shirt and a used pair of pants. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk

Buster
We had a FLG friend out all my soft parts in a turkey fryer that is used for dying costumes. It turned out great.
