Rainfly
I'm (finally) back in a situation where I can continue work on my armor and something that has bothered me about my whole set was the gloves. I picked up a pair of the gloves that went up recently (think they were the sitharmor ones) and they look super legit but the wrist?/hilt?/backend of the glove always flares out and makes them look a bit doofy. I want to take them in a bit but I am concerned about ruining these fine looking gloves. Should I not even bother? Are they good as they are? I'll post pictures when I'm home. Also, I find that I have the dexterity of a whale when I wear them, they are a proper size but the fingers are so chunky I can't even grip my zipper. Any tips to "shrink" them to a more nimble form? Chex
Some people remove the lining and that seems to help.
Smiling Fox
That is just part of being in costume. TK's wearing accurate rubber gloves have it almost as bad. SA gloves are fairly stiff. If you roll and unroll the leather over and over this will help (maybe a hundred times each). You can also get some leather conditioner and some saddle soap and soften them up. We don't wear our costumes enough to break them in like you would work gloves. Like Chex said, you can remove the lining to give you some more dexterity. But beware, this will make them loose on you which may be worse. If you can get a size too small then remove it that would be better. Pandatrooper
This is what I did. Worked out very nicely for look and feel. http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=9781&st=120&p=93781entry93781

mr_hair
I had the same issue. I ended up taking them to a leather alteration place & they took the flare in a bit so now they sit straight. As for the dexterity...that's the deal I'm afraid. You'll just have to put your gloves on last...

Donovan
I've got wampawear gloves I honestly prefer them to the SA gloves. They're thinner and not so bulky
