Fettski's Scout

I really didnt take too many build pics. I might get the motivation and post some that i did capture along the way. I used Pandatroopers build thread for alot of it and since it has been documented so well already, Thank you!, i decided to just build on. I finally got my soft parts in today and had to take a few pics and take a walk around the neighborhood to get a feel for things and find where i need to make some changes.

Once Photobucket is back online, i can post pics.

I used SC armor and Helmet. CB soft parts. Under Armor Balaclava, Old Line armory blaster, morenza marino work boot as a base boot for the boots i made myself, and scoutgloves.com for the gloves. I think it turned out pretty well so far and i know i have a few little tweaks to make but i think it is troopable if i had to. Please, I would like to hear any comments you may have once i get the pics uploaded. Big thanks to all of the vendors who take the time to sell their products, and to all the helpful members who provide positive constructive criticisms to help our tree hugging brothers look the best we can out there.

Photobucket is back online, here are some pics:

Looks good. Your pouches are on the wrong side. Throw some foam in them as well.. The grey on your snout looks a little dark. Remember it should match the grey on your bolt covers.

Plus, it looks like the greeblie on your TD is upside down. The two tabs should be pointing up.

Other than that, that is one good looking scout! You do this native Marylander proud!

Thanks for catching the pouches, i really just threw them on there to make sure the size was good. I thought i had it right but didnt give it a second look. The paintis exactly the same paint. Maybe the lighting was not that good. It was late in the evening.

I recall there being disagreements over the correct positioning and that both are accurate. I am pretty sure mine is the same as Pandas and matches a screen reference. I can go back and double check if needed.

And thanks for the compliments.

Just nit picking a little, but you boxes could stand to come up another inch, and make sure they're centered on the side of your leg. Nothing that would hold up on approval. But you know that since you're a GML lol.

That's what the Lancer standards call for. But if you're not going for that, it may not make a difference.

The guys comments are what I would pick up on, looks like you have external stitching on the pouch flaps ? If so they really shouldn't be like that and can't see a clear shot of your thigh straps, riding patch and butt flap are they there?

I should have mentioned that i have no interest in going Lancer. I want it to be as accurate as i can without obsessing over the smallest details that some of which cannot be seen anyway.

The current CRL does not mention the pouch flap stitching.

All of my soft parts are from CB. It does have the butt flap and the thigh straps but i did not take the time to get the lighting correct, these were just some quick pics.

The thigh boxes I am still dialing in. I will have someone to help me this weekend after i get some adjustments to the flightsuit and vest, we will take some new pics and I will take better care to get the boxes correct.

Thank you all for the comments.

Thank you for the response Cucblack.

Other than the pouches being swapped sides, is there anything that MUST be changed for approval? I am my Garrisons GML so I cannot approve my own kit. I seek the approval of the Detachment Leader so i can have my CO approve me. I remove my personal bias from my costumes.

I have seen comments about Lancer but I am not going Lancer. If more pics are needed, i can take better "approval" quality pics. These were just a quick throw it all on and see how it feels and snap some pics type thing.

Chex, you mentioned the snout color and pouches. I think this pic shows the snout is the same color as bolt covers and the pouches are swapped and have filling in them. I will be getting some foam or something to put in them to get a better shape and still hold my speaker. Also is a pic of the thigh strap and mud flap
