Need reliable source for jumpsuit and flak vest

I used BSN member CucBlack. He has a post on the For Sale/Wanted boards.

However, he is in Bolivia, I think. So, it may take a couple of weeks. He also does the bund, and I think Helmets now, as well. Overall talented guy. I'd personally suggest if you use him, add an extra couple of inches onto your shoulder and chest measurements. It's easy to take out if you don't need it, not so easy to add if you want it there after you have it in hand.

I feel your pain, Punisha. I am in the same boat. I have been extremely pleased with the communication from CB. I have not heard of any buyer being disappointed. I am nervous about the shoulder measurement, mostly because if there is an issue, I would be reluctant to send it back and have to wait again. If you get your order, please let me know and ill do the same.

I'm not trying to be Captain Obvious here, just checking... But have you tried putting in the tracking number he gave to to the USPS site and see if it pulls any info?

I put mine in and still no info available. CB mentioned it will not be trackable until it gets to the USPS.

Punisha I had the same experience with the tracking number. But CB is a reliable vendor who makes quality stuff. You just have to be patient because customs holds things up.

Guys the minimum for him after he's shipped is usually 4-5 weeks. And I stress, minimum. Our customs can seriously lag with anything coming from South America. Just be patient.

You guys will get your items. It took me three months to get my suit, flak vest and cummerbund. It took over two to get the bucket. Plus customs is staying backed up. Once they scan you'll be able to track it.

You won't get much empathy isn't regards to purchasing issues from CB here- people will tell you to be patient and blame you when there is an issue for some reason. I could post the time line of my order for you - including a completely wrong tracking # which was then changed to one that works several weeks later. I was told that my stuff shipped a certain day - which I don't believe but don't know how to read the shipping label on the package. When I was given my new tracking # the package arrived shortly there after.

Nothing fits- the suit is tight from crotch to shoulder. The vest won't close in the back cause it is too tight. The bund is too loose. I paid a professional to measure me but it has been pointed out that they could have messed up all the measurements. Forums tend to be very protective of their vendors, which I get, but when there are repeated issues you would think people would care.

Sadly, I know for a fact that several other members here have gone thru the same exact issues with shipping and fit.

In all fairness to CB - I didn't bother to complain nor try and get it fixed. I don't have the desire to deal with shipping the stuff back and hoping to get it back before the end of summer. I will pay a tailor here to fix all the pieces. I really was excited to get this stuff and really have no issue with it cause that is the risk of buying clothes on the internet I guess. The quality is there - there is just something being lost in the sizing and communication. At least that was my experience

Obviously plenty of people have had positive experiences based on posts here. Maybe my measurements were off, I may just have the guy who is going to fix my stuff check them out. Compared to a redKap the material he uses does feel more comfortable/lighter.

I believe you will get it... Just will take time. And it is nice stuff so when it gets there you will like it. Here is my tracking info- I was told it shipped March 28. Obviously US customs doesn't seem to be the issue if the tracking time line is correct 4415776F-79FD-4AE9-8373-9469FC8CE69C.png

Im in the same boat here. Mine shipped May 5th and still have not arrived. No shipping info on the tracking websites. I asked 3 times for him to check the tracking number and he responded yesterday with a different tracking number that still doesnt tell me where it is. I called USPS, correos Bolivia, and EMS and no one knew.

Christian, if you are reading this, you really need to offer a better, more reliable, shipping service. I have received items from China, Hong Kong, and Mexico a lot faster. I ordered items after my soft parts and they came weeks ago.

I really feel like this problem is chronic enough for the admins of this site to get involved. He has even offered these items on ebay, but if the delivery isn't getting handled, he needs to focus on fulfilling existing orders here not continuing to sell outside f here.

Now I actually have proof that he was giving me the run around about shipping. I gained a contact from EMS in Bolivia by asking questions and was able to email the boss man. Since I can write and speak in Spanish, I asked him about the first tracking number that I got on May 5th and he said it is an erroneous number. I just got a new tracking number from Christian yesterday after weeks of emailing him to check the number and I emailed the boss of EMS in Bolivia again and he said the new number is right and it was dispatched on 6/18/14 (a month and a half after I was told it shipped)!!! I bet ebay customers are not put on the back burner like us here at BSN because they can leave negative feedback.

I'm going to throw this warning out for all concerned. Any issues you have with a vendor and/or member selling merchandise are between you and that member/vendor. Since BSN does not directly or indirectly endorse vendors, there is no specific forum for noting complaints and/or issues. If you have information regarding an issue with a seller who is selling merchandise on BSN, please send that information to Marcel (Detachment Leader) and/or Chex (XO). The CMD staff needs to know about the situation.

However, if you feel compelled to let other know about a situation, please post it here:

This thread was not intended for vendor/member venting. If it continues, I'll close this thread.

Is there a reason why very little is made in the US for this stuff? Obviously there are quite a few people in the 501st community. Are there soft parts vendors that are available here?

I don't have an issue with ordering from outside the US, just curious and it is on topic for the original post.
