Hobbytown USA sells sheets of ABS too. Comes in helpful for making reinforcement plates etc. not sure if you have one by you or not

My hobbytown only has styrene, not ABS. You don't want to try to bend styrene (or plastic ForSale signs). They'll just crack. A metal ForSale sign will work, or a piece of brass or aluminum from Hobbytown or a hardware store.

If you hadn't ordered belt clips already, I would have thrown something in with the blaster for ya. I used large cotter pins, bent into a hook and glued in a hole in the TD tube.

Thanks again guys. picked up a metal For Sale sign and it's definitely easy to bend, but not sure if it will support the tank. Was thinking I might cut a few pieces and double or triple it up to add some support. It looks like there is a lip on the top of the back armor that the topper will rest on…is that correct?

Question on the white circle…..did a forum search and didn't find my answer. Do most of you just cut the circle shape out of painters tape and hand paint it on? How big is the circle or do you just eyeball it?

I hand-painted the circle based on the shape already present on the SC topper. Not a pretty job, but no one's looking at it with a magnifying glass.

Extra durability is never a bad thing, but the tank and topper are pretty light. Don't give yourself an ulcer over it. I used part of a vinyl gutter piece as shown in my build thread. Cheap, easy, already had a 90 degree bend in it.

Yes, the lip is there to put the tank on, plus topper, with a single rivet through the top and another in the bottom. The trick is that for the rivet to get through all three things, the topper has to be pretty much flush with the edge closest to the back plate. Otherwise you'll need something to attach to....as you've been discussing.

Thanks for the really detailed explanation. Didn't realize there was an indent for the circle...that really makes life easier.

Very excited....my SC armor shipped today and should be here Wednesday! Should have my boots/blaster here this week as well. Exercise/eating better has been going pretty well, so I'm hoping to order my soft goods in a few months. Helmet should be here early August, and I need gloves and I'm set! Going to start a build thread later this week once everything gets here.

Thanks man! I appreciate you taking the extra time to make sure it's perfect. Thanks for the advise on the gloves.
