Darth Voorhees
Has anyone seen these? They arent dead on but are pretty close! If we cant get a hold of our usual makers, they look like they would be a viable option, or good for a budget build. Right now they only have size small but they usually have all sizes. They are 9.99 free shipping! Not sure of the quality, but i mean for 9.99..... Im going to buy a pair just to see how they are. They are on e-bay from seller longlifeleather Search their listings for : Mens Leather Motorcycle Biker Gauntlet Gloves New All Sizes #1003
LeMaxim
Looks good but it seems there needs to be a few difficult modifications to make them pass basic. The missing suede parts is the biggest concern I would have, but I guess someone with some skills could make it work. As far as non-prop gloves go I'd say they are very close though and I would be surprised if they don't share the same design-heritage (so to speak)
Darth Voorhees
yea, you can fabri-tac on a piece of suede onto the fingers and thumb area and remove the strap, and i think they'd be good to go. the originals had straps as well, and also had a zipper that needed to be removed. I'll let everyone know how they are. I'm pretty sure i have leftover suede from my riding patch, so im gonna add that to these and if they are decent quality, I'll sell em here. I just wanted to see how they are quality wise.
LeMaxim
Fabri-tac. Sounds good. I don't know what it is, but it sounds good. You've got this Lou. Well spotted! Looking forward to another unlocked-part-achievement.
Darth Voorhees
haha Fabri-tac is a strong fabric glue that works on leather Yea i stumbled on em when helping someone with their scout...they were so inexpensive i figured id see how they were. I got the sitharmor ones and dont plan on getting rid of em though
Darth Voorhees
Got these in...they arent bad! The leather is thinner than our sitharmor or Wampawear gloves but is very soft is they are super comfy. remove the strap and add the suede. I'll post an official review thread on em with pics, but just wanted to say they are def worth the 10 bucks!
NegativeEleven
Last summer when Taylor (username rustbucket) and I were building our scouts, and SithArmor wasn't available, he bought some on ebay that looked like these. They weren't made very well. I believe there were 5 ribs on one and 6 on the other. I had found some that were closer for about the same price and we each paid someone to mod the gauntlet part for us.
Darth Voorhees
These seem to be made very well, and the ribs are the same on both gloves. There are 5 on each. There are 4 on the real deal gloves that are slightly thicker ribs, but these will work for sure. The wife likes them so she may use these instead of her SA ones cuz they fit her better...we'll see how they hold up for trooping.
Halzgen
They look good. Are they still holding up?
Darth Voorhees
She hasn't trooped them yet, but they seem well made.
