shdwtrpr13 Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 so I got my bucket in this passed week and I need to install padding. a member in my garrison used a motorcycle liner which I loved. But I haven't been able to get ahold of them so I'm asking the Collective what they used and what their thoughts are. if you have some pics of the padding in your bucket I've love to see so I can get ideal too.
Stroker Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Have you checked trooper bay? I know they were selling padding for the TB buckets. I just used foam from walmart for mine.
shdwtrpr13 Posted June 2, 2014 Author Posted June 2, 2014 yeah it's yellow padding. I need something more form fitting. I may be hitting up the harley store tomorrow to see what they have
jyjellyfish77 Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 I've gone with military helmet style padding that I bought off ebay. I don't really have any photos though. My bucket is fiberglass.
mr_hair Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 I had foam, but have just put in a hard hat liner so I can get more air circulating now it's getting warmer.
jameserec Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 I used a "Condor Helmet Pad Kit" which came with my SC helmet. It uses velcro stickies and foam filled pouches so that it can be customized to fit any size or shape. Condor site sells them for about $22 per kit. I am replacing the stickies with industrial velcro because it sticks much better but that's a personal preference. You can also glue the stickies in with contact cement for a better bond.
Gato Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 I bought some customizable helmet foam squares off a member off mando mercs for $20. http://mercs.firespray.net/forum/index.php?topic=65590.msg1016083#msg1016083
