Ericia's TB Helmet Build

Hello all,

 

Yesterday I received my TB lids.

 

I was a little intimidated after opening the box and seeing half pieces... that will need to be put together, seamlessly........... Great. And I thought making minimal gaps with the TK ears were a challenge.

 

I was advised to use Devcon glue for the filling, then sand, fill, sand, fill, sand, [endlessly], etc...

Nice...im guessing you got that from Walt. Its a nice helmet and he included my old DVH snout with it

 

Don't be too intimidated by it. What i do is try and make the 2 halves as even as possible, then glue the inside strips in on one side first, leaving a "tab" sticking out to attach the other half to...then the other side can go on much easier. Then its like you said..fill sand fill sand etc lol

Yes I did get only the snouts from him He's been most helpful. And this was a total impulse. I have done hardly any research... not to mention, I have never use a filler and attempted to sand it to perfection.

 

....you want to build my second one ;) ;)

 

I am really getting swapped in projects. I want to start working on my mando again... but maybe just doing Bo Katan since shes Canon and Rav Bralor is not. I will just set my ASKO lid up for display only.

Just purchased two child size TKs for my brothers. I'll need all the free time possible to complete those.

Yep..I just don't have the time right now with SWW and all, and I just need it done lol. At this rate it'll be another month before I finish it.
