Is this red stripe wrong on tank topper?

Did I paint this on in the right spot? I swear I have seen someone do it like this, but I have also seen pics that the red stripe should be on top of the "dial".

Should be on top of the dial.... the raised bit right down the centre.

I thought so after looking at other pics today. Time to re-do it.

I have never seen the top dial split in the middle before. You might want to fill that out

It is KS armor. I took off the old paint with acetone and painted inbetween the split. Im gonna post another pic in a min.
