EFX Scout Trooper helmet -update

no thanks!

....think i will stick with my rs kits!

i have 2 efx helmets(not biker scouts) and for what they claim with being screen accurate ...

i see inconsistencies in those helmets too and this one is not much better.

whats with this helmet?

front view looks like it was put in a vise and squeezed at the jaw/lower visor area ... the flair on the jaw on the faceplate looks odd!

and the angle views of the front shows more of the flair.

front view not showing ears ...

snout greeblie doesnt look that much better than a don post/rubies.

what with this all the black padding .. is it made for cold weather?

would love to see a closed side view besides the ones that efx is showing ... they seem to be no better than what rs can produce ...

To be fair, I don't think those photos of the EFX helmet above are giving a good representation of the proportions. The photographer used a poor choice of lens (wide angle) and distance from the subject (too close). I'll bet that a longer lens and more distance would give a more true 'plan view', a bit more as shown on the packaging photo. Looking forward to Grendel_Blitz's comparison photos when his arrives...

true pictures can give distortion ...

but, even the packaging pamphlet shows the same flair on the jaws and very noticeable on the right jaw

Unbelievable that this has finally seen the light of day ;-)

But I have to say I'm not impressed; the jaw flare, the silghtly skewed snout greeblie and of course the decision to use fibreglas. Funnily, on the first impression it looked more like a Lonewolf to me. However, that is critique on a very high level, we're speaking 100% screen accuracy here. All in all, it's a fine addition to the exisiting helmets (albeit an expensive one, lol).

Cheers

I agree. :(
Sry...but the front of the bucket looks a bit ugly...especially the visor....

The closing of the mask/visor looks bad.

And this picture of this fiew of the helmet is horrible--->>

Sry eFX....no way. For a scan of an original helmet is this not a good work.post-78224-152019918504_thumb.jpg
