Actually, it looks like the stitching is on the upper part of the sole (stitched to the boot), which would be covered by the vinyl. These look like good ones, and for a good price too! I bought and received these on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/321279581812?var=510202076476&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649. Turns out I was buying from Kmart.
