01Hawk
Got all my SC stuff today and have read every post back into 2012 to get a feel for what others have experienced. Before I started I was wondering how many people ended up painting theirs and how flush does the top piece get to the back piece on the average build. I saw some people filled theirs ( which I am thinking I may end up doing) but was curious if others were able to do it without filling? 01Hawk
Can anyone post a pic of the top/ backside of their SC helmet ? Just trying to get a feel on what the gap should look like so I can start gluing.
Guest hel0wrench
I used bondo to fill the gap between the two. I'll look for pictures and post them up. Painting the helmet afterwards was a nightmare getting it all nice and shiny. I ended up putting about 5 coats on everything then wet sanding and buffing it out.
