How Do I Edit My Cummerbund?

So yesterday I recieved my scout cummerbund in the mail. Unfortunatly it is too tight. It keeps my chest from expanding too much when I inhale. Therefore, the bund needs some loosening up.

Any ideas how?

Did you get some spare fabric with it ? if you did, you can make an expanding piece and move the velcro a bit by first removing the velcro, sewing the expanding piece on and then sew the velcro again... ;)

No, I didn't. Is that what I should do? Also I would like there to be a way to put it on without undoing it, so I wouldn't need assistance.

Guess so, if you want to be able to breathe ;) I do it also like Marcel and then just turn the bund around.... same way with the belt and to fasten the TD.

I tried the technique, and it works! But still need to loosen it up (especially the chest area).

Loosening them is very difficult without adding in a stack of extra stitch lines (which isn't right).

If you've had it made to your sizes, and it's not correct, I suggest you speak to who ever made it and see what they can do.

I sent the guy something, but haven't heard from him recently. I'll tell him more once he's around.

If the add on is the size of velcro, just unpicking and adding will be hidden by the new Velcro...fingers Crossed Jonathan.
