FoxTrooper Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 This April I will be attending two conventions. They are St. Louis Comic Con and Anime St. Louis. I plan on having my own scout trooper costume done in time for those two cons. I have the pair of gloves, a jumpsuit, and a pair of boots that need to be finished. The cummerbund and helmet should be coming soon, but I've been waiting a long time for them. But the last of the neccessities of the costume I need to buy is the armor. I got to have all parts here by March and have them finished up. Therefore, I would like to ask any of you if you have any armor for sale. It can come in a kit or in finished form (although a kit would likely be better for fitting my own measurements). And if I buy from you, the package should be able to be delivered within weeks because of the time I have. The help would be appreciated. Thank you for time.
Soundwave Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 I ordered mine from SC, and it shipped super fast. And from what I've seen as far as problems go, Jeff seems to handle customer service at a top notch level. 1
EnigmaEngine Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Yeah. SC is the way to go here. It's within your budget, and ships very quickly. 1
bjsavage7 Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 But the last of the neccessities of the costume I need to buy is the armor (excluding the helmet). Do you already have accurate boots with white marine vinyl, riding suit with correct collar, suede patches, thigh straps & butt flap, vest with ribbed shoulders, balaclava, accurate gloves, cummerbund, pouches, belt webbing, and blaster? 1

For what I've got already, I have the accurate gloves, a balaclava (mines too thick; gonna replace it) and flightsuit (albeit lacking suede). The cummerbund w/ pouches and helmet kit still need to arrive (they've been taking quite a while. I don't have the upper vest or any blaster. The armor kit is what's on top of the purchase list. I'm not actually aiming to be totally complete and 501st accepted (at least for now). Just what I think is good-looking enough for the two cons I mentioned. I can complete the whole thing later.
FoxTrooper Posted February 27, 2014 Author Posted February 27, 2014 Have you tried SC? It's a bit pricey, but maybe. I personally don't have that kind of money myself, but I did thought of asking my brother and his friends for a loan. I had a chance, but I was too nervous.
Chex Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Honestly, most of the time it's cheaper to purchase a kit then it is one that's been built. SC really is the way to go.
Donovan Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 if you are able to complete this costume in less than a month i will praise you like a god lol. its not as easy as it seems to be but like every one said, go sc 1

But with that aside, I'm still waiting on the cummerbund and helmet kit. I've waited awfully long for them but hopefully they arrive by the time I get home from school today.
EnigmaEngine Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Waiting for parts of your build to arrive is as much work as the build itself, I swear.... 2
spookymufu Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Waiting for parts of your build to arrive is as much work as the build itself, I swear.... AMEN!
bjsavage7 Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 It's a bit pricey, Not really. About the best price out there, quite honestly.
