Sedavor
We are using 2" thick foam that I snagged from work. I am not entirely sure what it would be considered, however its thick enough and dense enough that I could hollow out a section and it should still hold its shape. Guest Zaharia
Okay. So, the bicep armor is temp held with duct tape, because we were trying to figure out if spacing/sizing is correct ... Thoughts, opinions, or suggestions?! THANKS!!
Chef
looks fine, when it's all strapped in place.
Guest Zaharia
Okay..It's been a while since I last updated this, so here's what I've got so far...I was "smart" and sewed the velcro onto the wrong side of the cummerbund to hold it onto the vest, so I'm getting ready to fix that, as well as hem the sleeves so they're not too long past the shoulder bells... Does the placement of the pouches look right? Other than velcro and straps that need to be done, the only real things left to do is the boot holster and the helmet...Hoping to get them knocked out soon. Guest Zaharia
Should I sew the pouches onto the cummerbund or attach them by using velcro?
kathgruben
Your pouches look great! Though I would suggest trimming your biceps a touch at the top to give more space between them and the shoulders As for attaching the pouches, mine came with buttons, and I've seen several examples of the pouches being velcro'd to the underside of the chest armour. Regardless, being able to remove them would be important to me for packing, cleaning, etc.
NegativeEleven
After about 4 months of trooping, I decided to move my pouches. They were attached to the top of the cummerbund, but I now hang them from inside the armor because they were weighing down the cummerbund. The pouches won't need to be washed like the bund will. That black line between the chest armor and the bund was one of the most annoying things to correct on the whole costume. My bund snaps to the vest and I have suspenders hanging from the shoulder bridge to hold it up.
