Guest drbored
Hey all! I'm still lurking, still putting things together before I put together a plan and make a purchase. Being a big fan of Warhammer 40k, I've trained myself to wait for the rulebook before I buy the shiny, expensive toys. I have a few questions about the various markings on the biker scout armor. See, I'm a big fan of customization, creating your own, etc. However, I don't want to break canon, and I do want to make sure I get approved for Pathfinder status! So my questions. The rank markings on the backpack/tank. It's 1-6 stripes right? Does anyone know what the various rankings mean? I'm assuming 1 stripe would be the lowest rank, and I think that's what I'd like to go for. Next, is there any example of a Scout trooper having any other markings, perhaps in the expanded universe beyond RotJ. I really like the look of some of the Clone Troopers from RotS, with the alternate colors, squad markings, and otherwise just unique stripes and such. Is there any canon that shows a Scout doing something similar? Thanks for the help!
Chef
There is actually NO evidence to suggest that they are rank markings at all... That's just something that someone has plucked out of thin air as justification as to why on screen some had 6, some had 4 and one was seen with 1. And somehow that seems to have stuck. I'm not convinced myself. My completely untrained and based on 'nothing but opinion' opinion, is that it is supposed to be a vent for what ever systems are contained within the tank hump. Beyond that, there is nothing that I have come across to suggest any differences between any two individual scouts. Someone may be able to educate me. Chex
What Chef said. But as far as customization, what you see on the screen is canon and that's all we will approve. No customization. After you get approved, some scouts do patches on shoulder bells, some paint shoulder bells for non canon tfoops too. I say keep it canon all day everyday lol
EnigmaEngine
And of course if you have the credits to spare, you could order a second set of shoulder bells specifically to bling out.
Guest drbored
Understood! I'll go for approval first, and maybe get one extra shoulder bell that I can add a stripe to or something, I think that'd be simple enough to make me happy, without going outrageous enough that I'd stand out like a sore thumb! Thanks all!
