Gaunt899
Ok guys i know that is used by many in the legion, but one question:does it sound similar to a radio voice like in the film?I mean does it distorts a bit?The IComm is pretty expensive... Darth Voorhees
When using the Aker amp, the slight echo from within the helmet makes you sound almost identical to the scouts in ROTJ. No voice mods are needed. The ICOMM has the "click" after when you speak, but the scouts didnt have that, so no need for the ICOMM for scouts
Pandatrooper
Not so much distorts, the amplification sounds like a radio transmission so its similar to the film. You don't really need an icomm as the Scouts (and technically all the Stormtroopers) never had static burst in the films. Its just perceived.

bjsavage7
Yeah, my Aker sounds just like the Scouts in the film. Only thing that bugs me is that it feedbacks a bit when I turn it up too loud.
Dart
Also, if you're looking for a nice compact mic, I've used this one for the past 2 years: http://www.ebay.com/itm/181125639883?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 Much more comfortable than the mic included with the Aker amp. Heavy
I use an Aker with my mp3 player and I have the loop file from the 501st. forum on it - the kids love it, it sounds just like in the movie
PanzerKraken
Yea it works well and if you have it hidden behind the plastic of your armor, it gives it a nice sound. Transmission already sounds different from your voice and the muffled echo of the plastic gives it a extra bit of "realism". You could always make the static burst noise with your mouth too
