Although if the guys know the answer, I'm more than happy to heed any responses.

I feel like I read somewhere that two piece undersuits were allowed as you can't really tell a difference once the entire suit is on. So, firstly I'd like to know if that's true. If so, does anyone go that route? And if so, what are the recommendations for suppliers?

I personally can't see any issue with having a two piece suit, but personally I can't see the need to have it that way. But whatever works for you is ok as long as the end result looks right

I think the issue was a matter of practicality for uh restroom breaks. I honestly cant remember at this point where I read it, maybe on the garrison board, but figured I'd throw the topic out here and see if anyone bothers or just deals with the traditional one-piece flight suit.

Keep in mind though, if your goal is Lancer, then you'll need a one piece suit. ;)

Hi

I made my own two piece flightsuit, because then I don´t have to take the hole armor of for breaks - and it is acceptable for "normal" approval.

If you want to go for Lancer, you need a one piece, like Mike wrote ;)

Erin Here is another thought.......IF you wish to become Lancer fantastic! get the flightsuit but for those troops that are long and cumbersome have two piece for back up!, I'm lucky enough to have double of soft armor just in case, one lot is the wash.

:)

A little Example a Two piece is a god send: ...when you do a car park change...walk for 15 mins, then line up for an hour in the heat needing a drink for a parade in the middle of Melbourne City, and would love to do a quick dash to the loo's before the parade starts a two piece is priceless! And that is one Example from many as a many seasoned troopers here would know there are places we troop that are hard to find the toilets and for those blokes that have partners would know us ladies do tend need to go :)

Personally, I prefer body suits and flight suits for everything, because they will move with your body better than two separate pieces. Just my own personal experience with other costumes, though. I know of plenty other people who love having two piece undersuits, so it's totally up to you.

I'm also not a fan of wearing my costume on bathroom breaks, so I take most of it off anyway. Lol

As a female scout, the two piece method has been a great modification. It makes it so much easier to go to the ladies room and not have to strip out of costume for a simple restroom break. I also can have half of my costume on before I get to a venue which is especially nice if you end up having to dress in a parking lot or mixed company. It happens more often than not that there is not a separate or modest changing area. I have used an extra wide belt elastic for my waistband of the trousers and the top with large snaps on the bands to keep it snugly together. It is also great if you have person with a larger bottom than top who needs to use two separate sizes to fit properly. I am a regular top with a a larger bottom. It is also great if your trooper is thin but very tall and needs more length in the torso to crotch area. In my experience, the more practical and comfortable the costume, the more fun it is to troop.

Erin, I went with the option of comfort over Lancer. Mine is also two piece suit. The kids and the fans can't tell the difference between Lancer anyways. They just see the armor and get excited. It keeps you cooler too and easier to wash!

I don't see how they can exclude an unseen element from qualifying for Lancer. I mean if the suit is completely appearing right, the under stuff shouldn't be something exclusionary. That's why I stopped being a part of the group because the requirements got too nit picky and some of the stuff really doesn't change the appearance of the costume.

For ladyscouts who have a two piece suit, where did you purchase them? Looking at redkap and dickies but not sure what would work.

Thanks in advance for any assistance. :)
