Rainfly Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 Does anyone have any experience weathering their armor with firecrackers, M80s or roman candles? I feel like the M80 would do more damage than is necessary but i like the idea of real scorch marks. Alex PS- It goes without saying that I'll be careful... Quote
Dart Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 With respect, I wouldn't even try. You risk warping and melting the plastic on your helmet. If the above warning wasn't enough, do a test with some plastic and see what happens. I, for one, would hate to see you damage your helmet past the point of it being approvable. Quote
rottie Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 The little snap pop thingys work real good...does no damage and leaves a nice burn mark that realy is not a burn at all...i did it on my kids armor Quote
Rainfly Posted January 7, 2014 Author Posted January 7, 2014 I tried setting off a small single burst firecracker and it left a yellowish brown scorch mark. Not quite what I was looking for. It wiped away easily. If anyone is considering doing this. Its an unnecessary risk to your armor without good effect. Quote
Chef Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 I like your style though... Blowing stuff up is always a +1 in my book. Remember kids, "when you pull the pin out, Mr Hand-Grenade is not your friend any more" 1 Quote

NegativeEleven Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 If anything, it'll just leave ashes on the surface that'll wipe off easily. Perhaps if you must have real blast damage, just use ashes, maybe a clear coat to make em stick. Quote
