For the last couple months I've been keeping my eyes open for a suitable pair of cheap tan work boots. I've checked Walmart, Payless, thrift stores and various online places but I run into the same problem everywhere: everything is two-tone. Is this a problem other people are running into?

I'd really rather not buy boots that I know I'll have to spray paint to correct the two-tone soles. When it comes to that, I might as well just buy some black soled ones and spray paint them. Wouldn't the spray paint have trouble bonding to the rubber too?

I am wondering if anyone has run into cheap workboots online or at a regular store that does NOT have the two-tone soles. I'm eager to get started on the boots, and I really would rather not wait out the "trend" if I don't have to.

Thanks in advance!

Try searching for Palladium canvas ankle boots. They are very similar to the original canvas boots and have a single color sole. If I was making mine again this is what I would use.

I like the Palladium boots but they look to have an engraved branding on the sole, and this would not be acceptable would it?

Yeah, nobody really cares what the bottom looks like, for approval, or even Lancer. Although someone once did go through great lengths to cast an original sole to use which I thought was a neat idea. :)
