Well, several months ago I took part in a group armor purchase. I ordered a Shadow scout kit since I already have a RotJ scout. I got the black armor from SC and it's lovely. However after some him-hawing with the makers of the helmet kits the group purchased (not SC) about the black abs, and the fact that they claimed they couldn't find any, our kits finally came in. Down side is that the "shadow" helmets they sent were white as well. So I contacted SC and ordered a black helmet kit. Beginning the wait process again ;)

And I decided since my daughter has pretty much taken my RotJ scout (she will be 18 next August) that I'd keep the extra white helmet kit and start a new set of armor next spring and try to go Lancer ;)

My kit straight out of the box

Honestly I was a bit disappointed with it. Its a bad pull with wrinkling and bubbles and very thin in places :( But I have started trimming and clean up

I'm having a hard time trimming out the eyes....there's so much bubbling and wrinkles in this area that it's hard to see where the "lines" from the vac mold should be. I'm thinking I need to take more off the sides.

Thoughts?

Thanks guys :)

Looks pretty good. I'd round out the top corners on the lens area. I'm not sure what's going on with the "ears" on the face mask, I haven't seen that on a build yet. The material looks a little rough as far as the outer edges go. I'm thinking that the mouth greeble will need to be glued at the bottom or maybe add some filler to the top part that sinks in.
