A Biker Scout, thanks to BFF's

Recommended Posts

I was asked if I would help a couple of close friends with some sewing with their Biker Scout builds, decided if I was gong to make 2 sets of everything then I may as well make 3 and order my armor later. Anyway on to sewing and a few weeks in they both arrive for a build day, start unpacking their armor and say "oh they made a mistake, there seems to be 3 sets of armor here" could have blown me over with a feather, they had gotten together and bought me a set of armor for all the work I did and as a birthday present, big thanks to you very sneaky buds, Thanks Brett (Synkro) & Liz (Liz). So here we go, photo's done and just waiting on word from my GML, fingers crossed :D. Waiting on a new set of stickers in the mail, need a bit of trimming on the undersuit, bit baggy in places, after approval I may try to shoot for Lancer with a few more tweaks :)Glen1.jpgGlen2.jpgGlen3.jpgGlen4.jpgGlen5.jpg

wow...nice build. the only two things I can comment on are: 1) the thermal detonator clips are visible....this has been mentioned on a couple of the Lancer submission pics as something that needed to be changed, and 2) the pouches are a bit large for your build. I had the same issue. I went back and took 1/2 inch off each of the seems and presto - they look just right for my size. just a couple thoughts. hope they help....way too go!

Thanks Mark I take any advice onboard, we did keep these builds off forum as Liz wanted to be the first armored female in our squad. I agree the pouches do look too big, I could either go to a all night buffet or make some smaller ones, smaller ones work, clips not a problem will get them sorted in the morning :D

Solid build. As is right now, those clips aren't really required for Lancer. Def size the pouches down a tad, and pull your forearm armor down a bit so they're not bunching up to the biceps. And remember, forearm armor goes outside the glove. Tell your buddies to head on over when they get approved and request Pathfinder status here.

Well done on your build bud.

Those belt clips, whilst not on the Lancer specs, are Screen Accurate and you should be congratulated for putting them in.

Your pouches are a little on the large side, 7x7x2" yes?? They might need to be scaled down ever so slightly. I'd go for 7 high, 6 wide, 1.75 deep.

But everything looks pretty good on you.

When it comes to your Lancer submission, remember we'll need close up shots of most of the parts.

Nice job bud and good luck with your Approval.

Thanks Rob, new pouches are in the works, had my hands full yesterday hosting an armor party and as I was the only member that could sew I spent half the day modding others undersuits and overhauls, taking up, taking in and moving pockets LOL. I will get kitted up again as soon as my GML gives me basic approval, then I will take new photo's all of the required shots needed for Lancer. Thanks again for all of the positive comments, this forum is definitely run differently than others I belong too, thanks all :D
