From junk to presentable - who made this blaster?

Some of you may know about the work I've been doing to try to improve a suit of armor which I recently bought. Almost every single piece needed some TLC, and that includes the blaster. Here are some cringeworthy "before" photos.

I have no clue who originally made this blaster. It's not quite a recast of the Kenner, but it's really close. It's probably a bit larger than a truly screen-accurate blaster, but there are certain things about its lines which I like. I asked NegativeEleven for some advice and help with improving this into a workable presentation piece, and he sent me a replacement scope. Here's the (almost) end result.

(still touching up the very top just a bit - I don't like how the paint didn't dry evenly)

Now I just have to figure out how to attach it to the holster!

I did as Pandatrooper, I added a metal strip to the base of the blaster then magnets to the boot holster. But after playing with electronics I worked out you could use an actual metal plate resistor (the cap plate on the grip with the two screws) just sand off the resin one, drill a couple of holes then screw on, then add a magnet to the inside side of the boot holster, just another idea :D

I know you were in a hurry to finish it, but I hate that I didn't clean up that seam more before I shipped it. I've got a new mold for the scope now and there's no seam lines visible on the castings from it. Gonna work on the blaster's new mold next week.
