Guest The Sniper
Hi all, I'm working on a Spec Ops TB that requires a modified TB snout/nose. I have a SC helmet and was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction. If I cannot find one, I may have to scratch build one. Chef
For the thing you're doing bud... I'd say scratch building it will be the way. It's a relatively flat piece, so the three little upper rectangles you can do from plastic card and the main snout, you could do from a bottle cap with some the middle cut out and some mesh inserted in there. There's little point in buying a replica snout, as you're going to be taking most of it out.
Guest The Sniper
Scratch build it it, thanks Chef.

Guest The Sniper
Can do Darth Voorhees, here is the the reference pics that I have been given. These are the best shots I can get, thanks to Chef. There are Swamp Troopers out there 2? , but this is for the animated style, from Star Wars Galaxies? I'd be happy to take a shot at making one myself, however if you would like a try at making one, I would definitely buy one off you.
NegativeEleven
The merch and branding officer from my garrison has a swamp trooper (i think he converted his scout and hasn't gotten the swamp one 501st approved yet). I'll check and see what his snout's like. Edit: looks like he just left the original greeblie on there.
Guest The Sniper
Hi Chris, there are 2 versions of the Swamp Trooper, "the movie" as in the current 501st CRL's which a few troopers have. The other is the "animated" as seen in the computer game, Star Wars Galaxies. The version I'm doing is the animated one. "The Wolf" from our Garrison, the Redback's just PM'd me just now saying that he is going to take a shot at making one.
Darth Voorhees
I can definitely do those. Would there be any (other) interest in these you think? I dont mind doing it, as its not incredibly complicated and its small so it would be a good thing to have for anyone needed them I say give me a week and i can have one done. Of course if you wanna give it a shot...go for it!
NegativeEleven
Lou, don't know if you noticed, but Craig's Garrison is Australia. So if he has someone there trying to make it, I'd say let em try first. I shipped Craig a blaster last month. International shipping is so expensive, it more than doubles the cost of most things I make.
Chef
Likewise, I think the amount of people who will do an 'animated' version will be very small. They are subtly different from the standard versions, and I don't think that many people will go down that route. For example, Craig is the first.... They are such a small simple item that I think most people will be able to scratch build them.
Darth Voorhees
Gotcha. Not worried about the shipping. I ship snouts overseas for around $3. But yes they do seem simple...i say have a go at it bro!
