Dane Posted September 28, 2013 Share Posted September 28, 2013 I received my big brown box full of SC armor on 23 Sept! Excited and scared at the same time—never attempted anything like this before. How do I post pictures on this thread? The box came with two knobs. One is thicker than the other. I know one goes in the hump's greeble oval. Which one goes there, and where does the second one go? Jancelot Posted October 1, 2013 Share Posted October 1, 2013 Also, it's pretty easy to tape off the areas for the red line and white dot. For the red line, place masking tape all around the sides. The just paint the top and don't press down too much or it might force paint down any potential gaps. For the white dot, gently place a couple overlapping rows of masking tape across the top so it covers the circle, the groove and at least a inch further. Don't press down on it yet. Find something that will fit in the groove around the circle without cutting the tape. Press down in to the groove and go around a few times to make certain it's stuck in there. Then press down firmly on the tape outside of the groove. Finally, take an x-acto knife, place it in the groove, and press it up against the inside edge. Cut all the way around. I applied three coats to get the color bright enough. Since that worked out I tried the same method with that white disc. I may need another coat. When you still have them take it as a template. ;-) So cut the hole like the sticker form. You must only cut the lower side a bit wider then the upper side( you can see it at Jancelot's pictures) For me the left picture look's better then the right I hope it would help a bit. They do sit pretty much under the thermal detonator, and this helps keep them level and sit a bit more evenly on the side of your thighs. if you look here... You can see what I mean. Yes, I know it's a promo shot, but it also doesn't have it's TD in place and you can see that the straps join right at the back. The buckles are decorative. I would give your pouches a little more, just to give them some 'body' and bring out the box like nature of the pouch. Obviously not too much... You don't want it stuff like a Christmas turkey.
