Rainfly Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 So one of the things that I have been putting off on my build has been the belt, which I think is now done. The canvas that SC provides with his kit is pretty thick stuff so it doesnt flex too much. In terms of drop box position, how is this looking? You can see the spare canvas poking out of the back where I havent cut it yet so dont mind that. Also excuse the dirty mirror. Thanks everyone!
Chef Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Seems fine to me. I'd just bring them slightly to the front. Not a lot... just a touch. If you wanted to take them higher by about an inch, that wouldn't hurt either.
Crikk Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Pretty darn good!!! Boxes should be centered on the side of your leg. (use the seam on the leg as a guide) And they could come up just a hair to be perfect, but totally acceptable.
Dart Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 It's hard to tell without seeing clearer photos. Ideally, the bottom of the boxes shouldn't hang below your crotch. That said, they look ok but if you brought them up an inch or so, you'd be fine.
Chunk Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Looks ok, but also looks off because your missing the buckles. When you add the buckles it will be easier for you to see exactly where you should place them. 1
bjsavage7 Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Yeah, looks really low due to the absence of buckles. Not bad at all though. A shame you have two rivets on each side and not one, centered.

Chef Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Yeah, the screen used scout only has one rivet centrally placed and it is un painted. Just so you know. 1
Rainfly Posted September 28, 2013 Author Posted September 28, 2013 Thanks for the input everyone. I used two rivets for the time being to ensure its secureness and thats it. Since it is my first build I do not have the most confidence in glue and/or my rivetting ability. Eventually I will surely remake my belt simply because I really just winged it this time. 99% build pics coming this weekend
