Centuri Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 Well my armour build is about 90% complete, but i need my Soft parts before final fit of the chest, back and belt. My build thread is here. I started with a paper pattern for the cummerbund and test fitted for size. The pouches are 5 x 6 inches x 1.8 inches deep, resized to fit my frame. I mocked these up in paper as well to test fit with my chest and belt.
Centuri Posted September 19, 2013 Author Posted September 19, 2013 My Jump Suit is finished! the Seamstress is my mun-in-law. I think she's done a fab job. The neck is 2.5 inch wide with velcro closure. the riding patch and butt flap are Faux Suede, with 2 inch wide elastic side straps. Butt flap is attached at the waist with velcro. here are some pics, appreciate any comments or suggestions for tweaking.
Southscout Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 Looking good! Your leg straps could however be a bit tighter (I know I know, it's a pain to change! ).
Gaunt899 Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 Looks good! I'm also starting sewing my cummerbund now but according to your cummerbund pattern,i suggest you to make the 6 vertical stripes a little narrower than the upper part of the tapered crotch.
Centuri Posted September 20, 2013 Author Posted September 20, 2013 thanks Alex, yes this was pointed out to me already so i am changing it to 5 stripes instead of 6.
M.J Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 Cen looking good. ya bum flap looks cute....lol
Centuri Posted September 24, 2013 Author Posted September 24, 2013 Cen looking good. ya bum flap looks cute....lol ya sure know how to make a Trooper Blush, MJ. here is my finished cummerbund and pouches. I had some webbing sewn in to the front top, these clip into my shoulder straps on the chest plate and prevent the chest armor riding up over the top of the bund. once clipped in i can adjust those straps so the pouches sit snugly at the bottom of the chest armour. 1
