EvilScout Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 I got started and think I went over the top. Especially the bucket. I was going for "road grime"
M.J Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Jeff....I love it...I still haven't got the guts to dirty mine up yet...
Griffin-X Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Looks pretty cool and grimey for sure! Hey...are those KS t-bits?!

Darth Voorhees Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 More than i prefer on my own, but i think it looks great!
Guest SUP_Ronin Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 I think it looks great. I'm looking forward to weathering up mine some.
Rainfly Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 I think it looks good! I plan on weathering mine too. The only thing I would say is that the knee guards look way more weathered than the rest. I would clean out the grooves just a little bit.
automaton Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 It is pretty weathered but it doesn't look bad. Not that anyone asked, but my personal view on weathering is that, for almost all troops, if the Empire were to send us as representatives to say a hospital, or event at a bookstore, or anywhere else in public, then they would not be sending the dirty armor troopers just out of battle. We'd be expected to put on our shiny clean armor to represent the Empire. For that reason I don't personally believe in weathering my armor. But like I said, no one asked
Jancelot Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 I think it looks really good. A bit more than I would personally do on the helmet, but that's my preference. I will be weathering mine as well as I like the look of a seasoned Scout. Check out the weathering on the Scout who was battling with Leia (Mr. Treestump):
Chef Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Yeah, bit much for me.... You have to think where things would weather naturally. Knees, Boots, recesses etc. You can make a serious contrast on your weathering by just rubbing over the high spots to take some of the weathering off..... IF you want to that is. It's your costume after all and if you like it. you keep it.
hghffjbjjhuh Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 looks cool to me dude, this biker has been on a few tours on Endor
TheRookie Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 I second what Chef said, think of where your armor would naturally be weathered. and think of how long your armor has been in service. try to keep too that. As for my opinion, I'd use a bit less weathering... but it's your armor.
shdwtrpr13 Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 I have to ask about your method of weathering. It looks greater. I'd go a touch less but I'd still love to know how you did it. There are very few scout weathering tutorials out there.
Adie1979 Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Out of curiousity, what colour does everyone tend to use for weathering? Black or brown?
Jancelot Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 I used black as it matched the screen weathering. I'm sure a case could be made for brown, etc. In reality I'd think we'd have grass stains and splattered bugs all over our fronts.
EvilScout Posted September 22, 2013 Author Posted September 22, 2013 Here are some pics of me wearing my newly weathered armor: 1
Sith Lord Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Looks great. What did u use. (paint, brush, sponge)? Sith Lord
Bubonos Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Looks great! I'm going with natural weathering. I troop hard! I'll get in the dirt with kids, get knocked around by crowds and everything I can to get the armor beat up and dirty.
Ammonites Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Natural weathering and scuffs for the back of my tank
