Sorry if this has been addressed elsewhere, but I am working on a KS and trying to get the color scheme correct. It appears that the requirement for a greenwash effect is not in the CRL. All the reference pic I've seen show a greenish hue of the base color. I guess this remains optional since it isn't in the CRL? Thanks.

Well I think there is an issue as to what is shading and what is the base color. I have seen one or two that have used a green was, but most used the tan/kaki base color. Since the reference pics are all computer generated, and no real armor was ever constructed, it really does make it hard to tell what color is which. As for now, I would proceed as the CRL requires. You can try to green wash, but you GML may not approve you depending on the outcome.

Sis you take a look at the CRL thread I pointed you towards?

Just follow that and you won't go wrong... Try to get your paint colour as close as possible but we haven't set one specific colour in stone because not everybody will be able to get it.

The Tan most of us have used is the "Kylon, camouflage, ultra-flat"

The greenwash is as outdated as when we included yellow as part of our camo.

I believe the greenwash is an older recommemdation, and not a requirement.

If you go too far with it, the armor will have a green appearance.

As it has been discussed before, there is a lot of shadow play with the CGI characters on screen, so the colors are hard to duplicate into real life.

The consensus has been a khaki base color with the brown and green camo colors on top of that.

If you wish to do the green wash, I suggest to try it on an extra piece of armor, or a small part, and see what you think.

A couple of troopers have used green wash, but it wasn't too green. But, the majority of the Kashyyyk Troopers have stayed with the base khaki color.

And like bselphfsu282 said, your GML will end up letting you know. ;)
