Mandalorean Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 Hi guys, I had my clearance witht the UK Garrison just before CE2 and did my first troop and parade there. I thought I'd share my clearance pictures with you. 1
Southscout Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Looks great! You can move the pouches in a bit so they're in line with the ribbing on the bund, or flush with the side of the chest, that way they don't need to be showing at the sides. And if you plan to add some velcro (or maybe you already have) to the vest to keep the bund tight, I would hitch it up 1/2-1" so there's no risk of the edge showing. Details, details, details... 1
Mandalorean Posted August 7, 2013 Author Posted August 7, 2013 Thanks for your suggestions I'm not really worried about the pouch tabs showing at the sides as this can be seen a couple of on screen scouts. The scout that tries to arrest Leia by the log in particular. I feel I have the measurement on the front of the 'bund correct with the 6 stitch lines 1" apart and the pouches 1" from the last stitch line either side. I need to remake the side straps though as even though they are 2" cotton webbing they are creasing to look thinner under tension. Solving this will mean the straps will hide the top of the 'bund better and cover some of the side pouch tabs. The pouch tabs are attached to the chest armour and also velcroed to the 'bund to keep things together. So, hitching the bund a little higher in future shouldn't be a problem.
Southscout Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 I like that... "future"... There's always something to improve and fix! :-)
Guest hel0wrench Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Looking sharp! Is this a Pathfinder or Lancer class admission? I'm just trying to soak up all the details I can for Lancer.
Chef Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Well, it's currently Garrison (501st) cleared, but having seen it in the flesh and monitored it's build progress, I'm confident that Andrew could submit it for Lancer and get it passed with little or no modification. It's a very good build. 1
