Guest burrezito Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Hi all need help and advice. I want to replace the helmet because I have one of fiberglass and weighs too much and I think I would like one if it can be lighter than ABS. I'm thinking Studiocreations and kropserkel as options but not which choose. kropserke not answer me or tell me the weight of his helmet. which you think that is better quality? Many thanks and best regards
Guest SUP_Ronin Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 I'm not much help, I'm afraid, but I did recently ordered a KS one. It's seems like it only usually needs minor tweeks to be 501st accepted. People seem happy with the weight, and although KS apparently had some mould issues in the past, they been reworked and folks seem happier with them. I've had excellent communication via email with them specifically brenda@kropserkel.com
Donovan Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 I prefer sc Imo because its smaller so I guess tht means its lighter.I think its also cheaper, better quality, and Jeff(sc) gets back to u fast.
bjsavage7 Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Welcome, Burrezito! Head over to the newbie section & say hello. I agree, the KS is probably the lightest helmet out there, with SC possibly being only slightly heavier.
Chunk Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Im the opposite. My KS is too lite for me. I purchased one of cucblacks fiberglass helmets this morning
Donovan Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 BJ really ks is lighter than sc?is it cuz they use a thinner ABS than sc?I thought sc would be lighter because its smaller
Guest SUP_Ronin Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Hmm... I almost think i'd rather have a heavier one that feels more like a genuine helmet. I hope the KS isn't too light for me. My Tusken Raider bucket is pretty heavy though, and I don't particularly like wearing it for an extended period.
