Is THIS the Rubies helmet that I hear everyone talking about? Because this is what comes up when I search for it. It also has a ~$200.00 price tag. I have never seen something more grotesquely frightening.

Jajajaja I'm agree with you When I received my Don Post helmet, years ago, that was my impression. This helmet need job for give it a good appearance. But is possible change it, the only big problem is too small, special for big heads like mine... For that reason I builded my own helmet.

A rubies can look pretty good when modded right. But yeah, that's just awful.

The KS helmet isn't much more. It still needs some mods, but it seems like a much better way to go unless you have mad skills.

None within the last few years...if ever. Way too much work would have to done to a Rubies to get Lancer IMO.

A few years ago, I remember Acrylikhan (Frank) had done a Rubies MOD that rocked. That's the closest Rubies conversion that could even come close to Lancer specs. I'm not sure if his site is still active.
