Hey guys,

I finally have all of my armor and have started my build. One question though is what is the best way to attach the pouches to the cumberbund? Is there a tutorial someplace on this? My pouches have a sort of flab that has velcro on them sewn to the top back of the pouch. Hopefully that doesn't confuse anyone!

Thanks!! -Paul

Just sew the corresponding velcro to the outside top of the bund, about 1 rib width away from the end of the ribs on the bund, then attach the the pouches.

Thanks Terry!! I appreciate it. I wasn't sure if that was the way to do it or not. This is a big help man and I appreciate it!! -Paul

My pouches were weighing down the cummerbund, causing a little of the vest to show above the bund, under the armor. I moved the velcro to the other side of the flap and hung them from inside the armor instead. It is a little tricky getting the side strap from the back armor to the chest armor to connect when you do this, but I think that little trouble putting on the armor is better than constantly checking my reflection to make sure there's no black fabric showing between bund and armor.

I agree with NegativeEleven, the pouches weigh down my bund, although I did mine a bit differently. I added new pieces of velcro to the fronts of the flaps, keeping the Velcro on the back as well. Back flap velcro attaches to the bund... front flap velcro attaches to the inside of the chest armor. Makes a nice tight locked seal.

I added velcro to the bund & back of the pouch. I just apply & let hang. My poches are filled with a foam square. Lite but keeps the shape

Great ideas guys. The Velcro on mine are actually sewn to the front of the flap. Hanging them from the bund means I will have to fold the flap over or they could just hang from the chest armor. I will probably do what Negativeeleven has suggested. Thanks guys!
