Landeaux's scout build

Landeaux

Recommended Posts

I have gloves, balaclava, and blaster, now starting work on my flightsuit. I've used real suede and attached the butt flap and thigh patches, also modded the collar. The legs have been tighten up too. The patches are just tacked on at the moment, I'm not sure if they need to be bigger. I am going to aim for Lancer approval, so any constructive advice will be helpful.

I'm steadily progressing on my armor; have the knees, forearms, biceps and shoulders done. I used the lancer spec elastic on each. Chest and back needs the side strap attached. The belt and td still need to be done. Also, the shoulders need velcro to be able to attach to the t-straps.

Had to try on the parts.

Great start! It's hard to say if your shoulders are a bit long, try to move them up a bit and see how it fits with the biceps armor since they seem to overlap at the moment.

Yeah, I think when I attach them to the t-straps on the chest piece the shoulders should sit higher.

Would these boot soles work for lancer specs? or just basic?

Sorry about the small pic, couldn't get it to upload from photobucket

Those are really good boot soles. Where did you find them? Yes, good for basic and could be fine for Lancer too. Would need to see more to be sure though.

They are a vintage women's KANGAROOS Survival Hiking Boot that happened to be in a big enough size to fit me. I found them on ebay. Here's a slightly larger picture, I should receive them in about a week or so I can get better idea how they look then.

Wow, that's really cool Paul. The soles look really, really close to the original Sierra Sneaker.

Getting closer to finishing my scout, just have hip boxes and boots left to complete. Thought I had some more photos but this was the only one to come out. I know the right shoulder bell came undone, and the right bicep & forearm should be a bit higher, past that is there any glaring problems I need to address.

Looking good. I found the pouches the easiest to make, I stuffed them with foam too. I have the same texture on boots I have made, I don't think it's a problem. Nice build can't wait to see it finished :)

Looks great! Love the bund since there's no camel toe :)

Your forearms looks good, if anything I would say the should move down. The "norm" is that they cover the top of the gloves as much as possible as seen on some scouts in the movie. They do however move around a lot between shots, but IMHO it looks better with them down. So your right one looks good, and the left one should come down.

And get some socks, man! No shoes, no socks, no service ;)
